Wouldn’t winter be a dull, cold and colorless season without Christmas to cheer it up? That is the magic of Christmas, an event that is celebrated across all the countries with a lot of warmth and gusto. The word Christmas is derived from the words Cristes maesse, which means, "Christ's Mass." December 25th is the day that Christians all over the world celebrate the birth of Jesus, the Son of God who came to save the world.
Christmas is the time for family gatherings, stockings full of gifts, carols, and the good old Santa. It is believed that on Christmas, Santa would come riding on his sleigh, driven by reindeers. He would land on the rooftop and come down the chimney with loads of gifts and leave them under the tree for little children.
Though there has been many different traditions and rituals in different countries, the spirit of Christmas has stayed through the years, filling us with joy and jubilance of the season.
