Gallery Description
Didier Lourenco was born in Premia del Mar, Barcelona in 1968. Lourenco learned the art of lithography at his father’s print studio where he started working at an early age. Lourenco began his painting career at one corner of the studio painting on paper and canvas. He made this corner his own mini-studio, where many artists would visit him. Lourenco was keen to observe the styles and paintings of the other artists. This could be called his education in painting.
He had his first solo exhibition at Vilassar de Dalt when he was 20 years old. From then on, he participated in many exhibitions and shows all over Barcelona and won many awards. In 1995, he left his mini-studio at the corner to start his own studio in Premia del Mar. He continued his pursuit of art with exhibitions and shows. In between, he also found time to travel with his friends to Italy.
The style of this young Spanish artist is characterized by brilliant oil on canvas celebrations of the warm Mediterranean lifestyle, the urban jazz scene and also golfing life. He still continues to travel to many places where he gains experience and inspirations for his paintings.
Experience the beauty of his paintings in our Didier Lourenco paintings gallery.
