Gallery Description
Frank Morrison was born in Massachusetts, but later moved with his family to New Jersey. Born in the era of rap, graffiti and break dancing Frank Morrison started out a young graffiti artist and an accomplished break-dancer. It was a chanced visit to the Louvre art museum in Paris opened out a new vista of art to him – the art of colors and depiction. He was so intrigued by all the magnificent art that he decided, at that moment to become an artist.
Frank Morrison's paintings are unique and simple. His first artistic endeavors consisted of graffiti art where he developed his signature elongated figure style. The exaggerated body parts and flowing motion of the characters depicted in his work are his signature paintings. His works speak for themselves and for the endless creativity and talents the great artist possesses.
Morrison’s work is inspired by the rich and varied experiences of his life. Frank’s love and gratitude for his family, his strong religious belief and deep faith on God are all evident in his paintings. Each of his paintings bears his signature, accompanied by the notation "TTG" representing "Thanks To God" as a way of thanking God for everything. Morrison’s works portray images from the worlds of sports, music and family and fraternity.
