Gallery Description
Horses are said to have evolved from small fox-sized animals, about a foot tall, found in the forests of North America. Horses, now known with the scientific name, Equus caballus includes everything from the small-sized Shetland ponies to the huge draft horses, which are used to pull heavy loads. Horses were domesticated about 5000 years ago. And from then on, they have been helping in faster communication and transportation, military campaigns, races and many more fields.
Horses had a glorious past, when they guided explorers to unexplored terrains and great warriors to their victories. Even now, these elegant and mighty creatures are subject of great admiration and awe. They have been portrayed as heroes in many popular movies and stories. Can we forget the faithful “Black Beauty” who enthralled us in our childhood?
Horses are loyal, loving, forgiving, sensitive and very faithful friends. Horses share a therapeutic bond with human beings, comforting and healing with their faithfulness and love.
Horse paintings depict the beauty, elegance and power of these noble creatures.
