Gallery Description
Photography has always fascinated human beings for its ability to capture beauty on film, making it immortal and storable. The word ‘photography’ comes from the Greek words meaning light and writing. Light is the basic ingredient of photography and is used by the camera to form an image optically. The size and the image-capturing medium of cameras have changed over the years, making photography simple and enjoyable even without any knowledge in photography. There are many different types of cameras used in photography.
Compact cameras are small models where the size ranges from credit card-sized ones to pocket-sized designs. The name ‘compact’ comes from the ordinary film cameras. They generally have a fixed focus system or even auto focus system in the more expensive cameras. Compact digital cameras have an LCD display to frame and take pictures and also to review the pictures already taken. Compact digital cameras can be much smaller than film compacts and can have options choosing for file sizes and zoom ranges.
There are SLR cameras, generally used for more control over the photographed elements, that have fairly long zoon options, sophisticated auto-exposure systems and also full manual control of the shutter speeds and aperture. There are some specialists’ cameras like the field cameras, panoramic cameras etc that are used for specific types of photography.
A good photographer can capture the beauty of any particular image with the right usage of lighting, shades and colors. Black and white photography has also developed vastly over the years since contrast between the elements in a frame can best be seen in these photographs. Photography has developed and evolved over the years, using different types of cameras and prints, better technology in developing and easier methods of taking photographs.
We have an exquisite collection of photographs in our gallery of Limited Edition Photography.
