Biography
Marc Chagall is one of the great masters of art of the 20th century. He was born in Vitsyebsk, Russia on the 7th of July, 1887. Born into a humble Jewish family, he led a childhood of poverty. His paintings beautifully blend the reality with the surreal woven into a single thread. He has also worked on ceramics, sculpture and stained glass. His distinctive use of colour and style makes his paintings, prints and posters unique and attractive.
