Human beings are known to be the most developed animals; they are called social animals; All animals including man have the same basic needs air, water, food and shelter. But what then differentiates man from other animals? It is the way of living that brings out the real difference; It is the culture, social etiquettes that man has impose upon himself that truly reflects the level of development. To not stray from the line he has chosen, to not forget his commitment towards the society he has formed and is a part of, to always remain developed, man brought in religion and philosophy;
Religion is not only about God; but it is also about tolerance towards others, respect for his fellow beings, love, compassion, sympathy and empathy towards all things on earth; religion preaches that all things, small or big, are creations of God and are equal and must be treated so. There are many different religions practiced around the world, but the essence of all of them is the same; all of them revolve around one Entity called God;
Philosophy is a science that many of thinking minds introduced to the world; Philosophy is the rational investigation of life, existence and knowledge; it explores the life beyond the mundane, living beyond existence, the power beyond the obvious. It implores one to ask questions such a who, why and what or life and seeks to answer them It brings in a system of beliefs, shows one the path to knowledge and wisdom. Philosophy is the tonic that infuses fresh positive energy and attitude and guides man in the path of life.
Philosophy and religion, though not the same are certainly mutually dependent. Each religion has its set of philosophies brought forth by religious leaders who have sued their philosophical minds to guide others. Each philosophy needs a vehicle to reach its final destination, the vehicle being religion and destination being the people of the society.
