Gallery Description
Vadik Suljakov was born in 1960 in Moscow, in a very intellectual family with many generations of artists and writers. He was educated at home and was taught painting at the age of seven. Suljakov continued with Russia’s traditional art education for 8 years in Moscow First Art School. He also served apprenticeship at 2 places in Moscow before leaving for the US, like most of the Russian artists of his time.
He spent some time in New York city, along with some fellow artists from Russia working with as a commercial artist. Suljakov relocated to California in 1991, where an art dealer Mark Siegel discovered him. Siegel recognized his talent and offered to represent Suljakov. Their partnership continues even today and Mark Alan Fine Art is the exclusive publisher and agent for Suljakov.
Suljakov has perfected his vibrant textured style, which he achieves by using both acrylics and oils together with a brush and a pallete knife. The photographs taken during his travels all over Europe when he was young, still forms the inspiration for his most exquisite paintings. Since arriving in the United States, Suljakov has established himself as one of the most distinguished impressionists of the country.
Suljakov is an unusually talented artist who brings his visions of Europe to the whole world. Suljakov unique style of portraying his favorite cities, their street-cafes, winding canals, the narrow alleyways and stairs make his paintings unparalleled. His paintings are characterized by the rich textured canvasses reflecting even the most minute details of the streets, buildings, and cities.
Our gallery brings to you a very beautiful and rare collection of Vadik Suljakov paintings.
