Vintage is the old, but not the outmoded. The outlandish, but still so memorable and fresh. Vintage style and fashion are looked upon with much fondness and familiarity even by the newer generation. Vintage posters are unique in their own ways. The advertisements of those times were interesting with their vivid sketches and captions.
Vintage posters were of many different types. There were advertisements for beauty and health products, there were advertisements by the Army and Navy exhorting youngsters to join them in spirit. There were also posters on specific countries and cities inviting tourists to enjoy their exquisite locations. The advertisement posters of those times were characterized by beautiful sketches and minimal ad copy. There would be catchy captions but very little description.
