Vintage style has become quite popular in the recent years especially among the collectors and the art enthusiasts. Vintage time was the time of inventions and discoveries, the time of spirit and enthusiasm. This spirit and enthusiasm is reflected in the vintage posters.
The posters were cheerful with vivid sketches and images. The posters advertising countries and cities to the tourists were the most colorful and bright, since they had the sole purpose of attracting tourists. There were other advertisements for health and beauty products, clothes and accessories and also ads by the Army and Navy exhorting youngsters to join them and thus fulfill their patriotic duties. All these posters had the underlying theme of lively sketches, and the bare minimum ad content. The captions and images were given much more importance than the ad copy.
